Lifeskills Camp is officially ver, and was GREAT while it lasted(:
first day - botanical gardens - amazing race
ros, yann rong(206) and i were in charge of 205. and they were like super enthu can? their banana cheers so nice la. stayed in my head for the rest of the day(: one thing abt amzing race: u have to run like crazy over the entire place and let me tell you, its so freaking big. but 205 didnt run alot la. in fact, they quit before reaching station 2(we started at 5. and stn 10 - stn 1 is like. horizontally opposite stn 10? ><). they had to go prepare the food for the entire sec 2 cohort. yes, this whole camp is more or less run by ourselves. ms koh was saying tt we were making history: first lifeskillscamp run by students alone, first night under stars... <333track><), all over. i have since become an expert in flicking ants off stuff((: then we waited ages for the bus back to NY. ages. ruimin and i were like. save all the nice songs for when ms chng comes!! (aka Night Under The Stars) yeah. they were Somewhr Out There, What Dreams Are Made Of, Como Tu(wheeee) and some other 'night' songs.
forgot what we did when we came back. basically bathed and stuff la. at night had dinner in quad(: so COOL. on groundsheets. then went to LT to watch this cheerleading movie which i watched on tv before. its nice, bitchy and uh, teaches girls to grab their(own) boobs? LOL. found out from ruimin that connie is pretty dirty-minded and tells self to see how true this is tmr(:
uhmm. there were MALE teachers.
lets see. then we had debrief and went to slp in our homerooms): haha wanted the quad la. nvm. yeah then slept next to chiling and at abt 10+++ 11, a teacher walked past and asked chiling to get up. EVIL.
ziyan and i listened to radio and dedicated; didnt hear): boohooo. i turned it off before i went to sleep.
OMGOSH I CANT BELIEVE I FORGOT TO MENTION THIS.
chewfei changed specs and she looks like Le Bin from that 9 o' clock show tt just ended. the lawyer one. HAHAHA. and she wants to be a lawyer! haha. ohohoh. she told me today tt her changing of specs has brought her a lot of bisexuality. LOL. want to know why? cos she's so SHUAI. more later(:
second day - Telematch - Rain - Clean-up - Night Under Stars - CONNIE AND ZHENPING'S BIRTHDAYS
well i got up pretty early and tried to go back to slp cos ziyan didnt want to wakeup): well it was surprisingly cold. oh and the radio reception rocked! haha. yeah so washed up and had breakfast...
then we sang birthday song for zp and connie and stuff. hahaha i made zp open her present. am i evil? =X
oh yeah! personality assessment!!! im a SCI. mainly SC la. a bit of I for the crap. ziyan is more C. chewy is DI. zp is same as me. i think suyun is DI also. forgot elise was what. HEY SUPER FUN CAN. love it!!! spent uber long time on that. teeheeeee.
there were some OM-based stuff which basically depressed us):
then we went to plan a 5-min skit which we had to perform on the last day. had to show leadership etc. owelll. ms ong suggested ms koh. lol. latter wasnt arnd.
aiya. basically leadership games. in which we really had to co-operate and stuff. quite fun. then had telematch. which UHH. i didnt find it exceptionally interesting la. we had to dip our feet into muddy water to look for marbles an stuff. very easy leh. didnt expect it to. heh. and find qianwen, whom they had 'kidnapped'.
then went to bathe. halfway thru they said it started to rain! NOOOO!!! its our NUS(night under stars) how can it rain!? i used less than a pail of water to bathe. so pleased with myself. considering tt ytd i used one pail PLUS 2 1.5 litre bottles.
then i came out and #$!%^&*@ it WAS raining. heavily. was so disappointed la! it was our ONLY chance of slping under the stars(in sch). sec 3 - OBS. sec 4 - Downtown East. noooooo....
ruimin was outside the toilet looking glum. and why shouldnt she be? ): sang for quite a while, then went back in. oh and the rain stopped few seconds before we stopped singing(:
then ziyan and i went down to quad to help the many ppl who were trying to dry the quad. yes, dry the huge quadrangle. i almost cried la. dunno why also. it was the sight of so many ppl trying and working together for 'a common purpose'. well, tiles and newspapers later, the quad was more or less dry... within half an hour!
the teachers were taking pictures and videos and stuff la. lol. i dunno abt them, but i was somehow touched by.. dunno la, the sight? yeah. same reason as abv. could tell they(teachers) were pretty pleased though(:
ziyan and i were the last two to stop clearing up. cos got wet spot mah. yep. so by the time we finished it was dinner alr. had a bit of dinner and crapped with connie. found out that she IS disgusting. i proved to be worse than her((: she said i could be her predecessor(sp?) alr! YAY. haha. ms chng came too! ate with ms chee at teachers' table. ruimin and i went up to get our stuff but homeroom LOCKED. blehh. so ruimin reached in and took her handphone and cam. she left them near the window la crazy pig! lol.
then we went down and took class photos.. with: ms koh, ms ong, ms chng, mr matthew lim and huang lao shi(:
then the parents arrived and we started the movie aft moving the ground sheets more front. ms chng sat with us! lol. ziyan, laiweng, me and chewy were right in front. ms chng behind us with suyun, elise and zp. she left halfway. the movie ROCKED LA. we cheered like siao. i only remembered that the parents were there abt 3/4 thru the show. HAHAHHAA. so slow rght? i know la. yeah it was Remember the Titans. so shuang okay!!!(((: <33>
third day - skit - break camp - last camp as 209):
slept listening to radio. woke up at 5:15 and aft a while went to brush teeth with mel, who was slping beside ruimin. yupp. then by 6:15 roundabouts we were all in homeroom to practise the skit le. ms chng looked funny la. eyebags so.... O.o ahhha. we asked her to wear our class tee alr. she looked like one of us! as in, a sec 2/9-ner. ahha. yeap.
then we had breakfast and practised more upstairs. and packed. and went down to audi. i was super tired la. slept thru alot of performances. sorry ppl! )):
we did quite okay if u ask me(: but we didnt win. for tt part anyway.
later they announced the winners. well, to cut an alr long story short, we only got one prize. for the most co-operative class. huh?? weird ppl. well its our only prize in the 2 lifeskills camps we have had so far): quite pathetic huh.. oh. there was one part i was kinda.... bu shuang? scrap it >< chewfei. aka chewy. aka my boyfriend. (aka alot of other girls' boyfriend/laogong): )
yes my bf is so freaking shuai can. AHHHH(: <33
oh and the rain thing. i think God purposely let it rain. and purposely made it such that we would clean the entire quad up(: so that we would appreciate being able to slp in the quad and how much that privilege costs. aargh. can't find words satisfactory enough. but sth like that la. mmhmm. thank God it didnt rain in the middle of the night or sth.
thanks to all the teachers who made it such an unforgettable experience.
